Walt’s Used Work Clothes sells work clothing including used pants, used coveralls and used flame-retardant clothing.
The challenge with this design was creating a simple, user-friendly layout that was aesthetically consistent with the client’s existing e-commerce shopping cart site. As the first point of interaction for most customers, we didn’t want to confuse users by having different interfaces for each site. We implemented the same color scheme and utilized a similar layout to create consistency. In addition to the large value proposition statement and phone number allowing customers to identify exactly what Walt’s is selling and to immediately call, we featured a slider displaying some of Walt’s typical products to establish a connection with the blue and grey-collar audience that the company caters to.
The main navigation menu features a row of product categories that enable users to immediately navigate to the category of work clothes they’re interested in. Additionally, the homepage sidebar features a visual listing of the most popular product categories that emphasizes the biggest profit makers for Walt’s. The solid search rankings combined with the intuitive navigational structure has brought a new wave of site traffic to a successful local business.
